Collaboration between ASAR Humanity & Kitabisa Brings Hot Meals to Refugees in Africa

ASARNews, Mali – The conflict in Mali, Africa, has persisted for over a decade, leaving more than 350,000 people displaced and living in refugee camps. Refugees in Mali include both native Malians and individuals from neighboring countries like Burkina Faso, who have fled the consequences of conflict in their homeland.

The ongoing inter-community conflicts have created a severe humanitarian crisis for civilians in the region. ASAR Humanity, in collaboration with Kitabisa, distributed Hot Meal aid as a gesture of solidarity from the people of Indonesia.

The Hot Meal aid was distributed through a public kitchen established in the Sabalibougou refugee camp, Mali, on Thursday (12/04). Through this public kitchen, the Hot Meals successfully served approximately 1,000 refugees, ranging from children to the elderly.

Saputra, the program leader for ASAR Humanity’s Islamic World initiatives, explained the reason for focusing aid on this area. "The reason we sent aid to Mali is that the region has long been affected by internal conflicts, causing thousands of people to flee and face hunger," he stated.

In addition to its humanitarian efforts domestically, ASAR Humanity has also extended its reach to various countries worldwide, aiming to assist communities affected by humanitarian crises.
