Israel Strikes Northern Gaza While Residents Sleep, Leaving 88 Casualties

ASARNews, Gaza – Zionist Israel launched a series of airstrikes on the Gaza Strip in the early hours of Thursday (November 21), resulting in 88 casualties. At least 66 people were reported dead, according to Palestinian health officials.

The attack targeted residential areas in Beit Lahiya, northern Gaza. According to Al Jazeera, Hussam Abu Safia, the director of Kamal Adwan Hospital, stated that most victims were asleep when they were killed. He described the dire conditions in which many victims continued to arrive at the hospital.

“We received so many casualties, and there are still bodies trapped in the walls and ceilings. Most of the victims are children and women,” said Abu Safia.

Medical teams from the hospital rushed to the scene to evacuate bodies, collect remains, and rescue trapped victims. However, the lack of ambulances and resources severely hindered their efforts. In a separate attack in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood of Gaza City, at least 22 people, including 10 children, were also killed in airstrikes on the same day.

As Palestinians face the harsh end-of-year winter, ASAR Humanity continues to mobilize aid for Gaza residents. The aid aims to alleviate the effects of both the ongoing genocide and the extreme cold. Efforts are focused on providing blankets, clothing, jackets, warm food, and other basic necessities to strengthen the community against these dual crises.
